technological efficiency
I didn't even know that was a term, technological efficiency, before I wrote it down when making this website. What I consider it to be is using technology to makes things better, faster, easier, less work.

Technology can be using computers, it can be organizing things better, it is any tool that helps you do your job better.

Examples of things I can do with technology to help your business are:

  • e-commerce: Allow you to take orders online. Your store can be open 24-7, less time needed answering phone calls and emails, you can literally service the world, and all that data comes to you in an electronic format, which later helps you easily track things such as sales and customer buying patterns.

  • Databases: If you do many different things in Excel, you may consider upgrading to an Access Database (or if online, a SQL or like database). Advantages of a database is that you don't enter information more than once (customer lists, sales figures, customer addresses, inventory), you cut down on errors, and you can match all these types of information together. For example, you can quickly pull off a report telling you which customers, living in which areas, buy which types of products, and how much money the revenue was, and how much profit it brought you. A database will cut down on human errors and allow you to access important information you need to make crucial business decisions.

  • Systems Integration: If you were like me, you had information in Outlook, Quickbooks, online, in emails, on paper, all over the place. I can help you organize this information and get these different programs and methods of record keeping to talk to each other.

  • Bookkeeping Software: Setting up your bookkeeping with software such as Quickbooks and syncing it with your online banking.

  • Computers and Networking: Downloading/installing software, setting up printers, scanners, faxes, networking the office, wireless router.
